Jerry Lee "Fireball" Bain, 71, of Hayti, Mo., died Jan. 2, 2003, at Hayti.
Born Oct. 26, 1931, in Memphis, Tenn., a son of the late Lee Roy and Connie Bell Shine Bain, he was a 1949 graduate of Hayti High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, worked for Broadway Music and was a member of First Baptist Church in Hayti.
He married Myrna Roberson in Hayti, who survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Michelle Winters and Nicky McKay, both of Hayti; and five grandchildren, Raeven Parker, Ashley, Whitney, Kadon and Corey McKay, all of Hayti.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at First Baptist Church in Hayti with Dr. Mike Melton officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti under direction of John W. German of Hayti.
Pallbearers were Bruce Beard, Jr., Ken Chastain, Robert Culler, Preston Shelby, John Clyde Thompson and Rick Young.
Honorary pallbearers were Bruce Beard, Sr., Fred Copeland, Bill Dodd, Barry McKay and Duke Still.
