'Lowell N. (Dick) Floyd, 2475 Ballard, died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital.

Services will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Park. Leverett and Steele Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Mr. Floyd was born 20 Mar 1905 in Sumner, the son of William Clinton and Icephenia (Wheeler) Floyd. He married Beulah Westmoreland 20 Aug 1922 in Hugo, Okla. A retired grocer, Mr. Floyd was formerly employed by Pete Humphrey Grocery and later by Sikes Food Stores. He lived in Lamar County all his life.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the board of Deacons, chairman of the usher committee for 25 years and a member of the Wright Bible class. Mr. Floyd was also a member of the Paris Masonic Lodge No.27 and a 32nd degree Mason.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Orbie Jay Floyd, Austin, Bill Floyd, Fort Worth, and Bobby Jack Floyd, Sherman; one daughter, Mrs. Cortis (Mary Ann) McGuire, Paris; one foster son, W. D. Stevenson, Garland; one sister, Mrs. Floyd Basinger, Sumner; one foster sister.
