Born in N.C., April 30, 1848, Finley Patterson Coffey, was the son of Wilburn Coffey and Sallie Cottrell Coffey, both born in N.C.
Apparently, Finley Patterson Coffey had a twin brother. As John Calvin Coffey was born on the same date, April 30, 1848, and to the same parents.
Finley Patterson Coffey married Mary Elizabeth Tuttle, a sister to his twin brother's wife, Nancy Caroline Tuttle Coffey.
On April 13, 1937, Lenoir, Caldwell County, N.C., Finley Patterson Coffey, a widower, died at the age of 88.
