OBITUARY-
Jessie W. Weider, the daughter of Aaron and Matilda Weider, was born on  October 5, 1861, at Fairbury, Illinois and passed away on December 24. 1948  at Pawnee City,Nebraska.
On October 7, 1885, she was united in marriage to Matthew Donaldson Phillips, and to this union three children were born, two sons, Ross and Lloyd, preceded her in death and her husband passed away on September 18,1902. She is survived by her daughter Mrs. Charles Butler of Diablo, California; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Mrs.Phillips taught school in Table Rock for many years, and was also postmistress at Table Rock for ten years. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Pawnee City and faithfully attended its services up until the time of her death. During most of her lifetime, she took a very active part in church and club work. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was Past Matron of Olivette Chapter No. 83at Table Rock.
Because of her fine Christian  faith and character, she was much respected and loved, and her winning personality won for her man friends. She took whatever life brought her with a smile and with a serenity born of her good faith in God, faced her problems with courage.
She leaves behind her the example of a "good and faithful" servant of the Lord, and having lived her life to the full is now gone to her heavenly home to receive the reward given to those who are "faithful unto death."
