WOODVILLE
A gloom was cast over the district when it became known that Mrs Margaret Agnes Cairns, wife of Mr Robert Cairns, of Woodville, had passed away at a Pahiatua private hospital. Her health had not been occasioning any serious anxiety and her demise came as a sudden shock. As a member of a family widely known and highly respected in the district, the late Mrs Cairns was a loyal and devoted supporter of the Presbyterian Church, her work being carried on unselfishly and unobtrusively. Besides her husband, those left to mourn their loss are a daughter, Winifred and two sons, Robert and John. The interment took place yesterday at the Woodville cemetery, the service being conducted by Rev J. H. Boyd.
