Joseph B. Law, 99, 300 Fairgrounds Road, Tipton, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, January 15, 2006, at Miller's Merry Manor. He was born November 10, 1906, in Tipton County to Clarence & Belle (Wright) Law. On October 31, 1934, he married Laura Mae "Peg" Harr and she died January 17, 1978.

He was the Owner-Operator of French Steam and Die Works and was a tax auditor for the State of Indiana. Joe was a member of the West Street Christian Church and an Elder. He belonged to the Benevolent Protective Order Of Elk and the Moose Lodge. He was a former member of the Tipton Community School Corporation school board.

He is survived by one son, James B. Law and wife Sybil, Converse; two daughters, Judith K. Burton, Tipton, and Jean A. Moeller and husband Perry, Tipton; a son-in-law, Larry Small, Barrington, Illinois.

Joe is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Robert, David and Jeff Small, Bart, Brad and Todd Law, Kathy Quear and Debbie Book, and Rae Jean Woodcock and Julie Schott; 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

One daughter, Linda Small, one grandson, Doug Burton, two brothers, Bob Law and Russel Law, and one half-brother, Don Coffin, are all deceased.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, at West Street Christian Church, 132 N. West Street, Tipton, with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.
