Reservoir Hides Three Men's Fate

POCATELLO--Peace officers and private citizens were conducting an intensive search of American Falls Reservoir Monday evening for three men feared to have been drowned when their boat capsized.

The boat was sighted bottom-up in the middle of the reservoir Monday afternoon by Earl Hansen, who saw the craft from a plane.

The three missing men Jack DeLatour, 35; James Toomey, 22, both of Pocatello; and Harry Eller, 25, of Coulee City, Wash., left Sunday afternoon for an outing on the reservoir.

Failure of the three to return home was reported to Elmer Terry, deputy sheriff, and search was started immediately.
