ABILENE, Texas Graveside service for Hillie "Paul" Bohannan Jr., 74, Abilene, Texas, was at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Elmwood Memorial Park, Abilene.

Mr. Bohannan died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009.

Arrangements were under direction of Elmwood Funeral Home.

He was born May 17, 1935, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to H. P. and Phronie Bohannan. Shortly after his 17th birthday, he enlisted in the Air Force and continued his service for 22 years. He married Vera Mae Lucy on Oct. 3, 1957. After retiring from the Air Force in 1976, he started Bohannan's Appliance Repair Service, which he owned and operated for more than 30 years.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tammi and Rodney Briscoe, Abilene; Debbi and Jeff Bailey, Lawton; and Ava Bohannan, Merkel; eight grandchildren: Ferra Blackburn, F-Paul Briscoe, Morgan Laughlin, Chase Bailey, Chance Briscoe, Chad Bohannan, Pat Bohannan and Amy Bohannan; five great-grandchildren: Jace Laughlin, Logan Laughlin, Jaylea Laughlin, Tye Briscoe, and Ryder Laughlin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, three brothers, and his wife.
