Warren Leroy Hoch, age 86, passed away early Saturday morning, October 3, 2009 at his home. He was a retired farmer and Alta Vista Coop Fueling Station Manager. He had been a resident of Wellington for the past five years.
Warren Leroy Hoch was born on March 2, 1923 in rural Hartford, KS to Ralph M. Hoch and Lena Mae (Zimmerman) Hoch.

On October 19, 1946 Warren married A. Fay Cunningham at Hartford, KS.

He was a member of the Alta Vista Chamber of Commerce, Alta Vista Volunteer Fire Department, Alta Vista Kiwanis, the Simpson United Methodist Men's Group, and the Oxford Methodist Church. He enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Merton and Robert Hoch; and one sister, Roseva Hall.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, A. Fay Hoch of Wellington, KS; four daughters, Eileen Smith and her husband Doug of Wellington, Charlotte Bryan and her husband Bill of The Woodlands, TX, Norma Fulbright and her husband Leroy of Maize, KS, and Melanie Whitcomb and her husband Mark of Rose Hill, KS; one sister, Vera Sutphin and her husband Kenneth of Colorado; 11 grandchildren, Rhett Joy and his wife Jennifer of Topeka, KS, Jennifer Cornejo and her husband Kevin of Las Vegas, NV, Jana Brewer and her husband Carl of Wellington, KS, Stephanie and Christopher Bryan of The Woodlands, TX, Lisa, Bradley, Blake, and Christa Fulbright of Wichita, KS, Joshua and Matthew Whitcomb of Rose Hill, KS; and seven great grandchildren, Carter, Cole and Ella Joy, Macy Spalding, Colin Bennett, Abigale & Chance Brewer.
