Jack Bullard, 86, of Benton died Monday, October 12, 2009.

He was born February 3, 1923 in Benton.

Mr. Bullard was a W.W. II Army Veteran having served in Germany and was a member of Holland Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from Reynolds and worked 10 years at Wal-Mart as a greeter.

Mr. Bullard was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Effie Bullard; wife, Dorothy Louise Smith Bullard; two sisters, Ruby Prunty and Stevalee Strange and a brother, J. T. Bullard.

Survivors include his son, Tim Bullard of Benton; two daughters, Pamela Faherty of New Jersey and Brenda Carter of Benton; two sisters, Mona D. Allred and Jo Dell Averitt both of Benton; sister-in-law, Dal Taylor of Benton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery with reverends Gene Huskey and Kim Hammer officiating.

Memorials may be made to Saline Memorial Hospice at 23157 I-30 in Bryant, 72022.
