Pauline Altvater died in South Renovo, on the afternoon of the 9th inst., Pauline E., wife of Charles Altvater, Sr., aged 54 years. The deceased had been a resident of Renovo and South Renovo for the past twenty-four years. The cause of death was general debility.
She leaves a husband, three daughters, Mrs. Lena (Lina) Lemley of Philadelphia and Fannie and Louise of South Renovo, and three sons, Otto B. Altvater of Bradford, Ohio, Chas. and George Altvater, of this place. She was a consistent member of the Zions Lutheran church.
The funeral took place in the church yesterday afternoon. Interment was made in Fairview cemetery.
Pauline's parents were Christian Bernhardt Kretschman (1807-1886) and Bertha Linna Kretschman (1811-1886). Pauline had 1 older and 4 younger brothers and 3 older and 4 younger sisters.
