Marcus E. "Red" Moore, 84 died on August 10, 2004 at the Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital. Born on March 10, 1920, in Watumka, Oklahoma, he was the son of Marcus E. Moore and Alma Davis Moore. He had been a resident of Medicine Lodge since 1957 and was a mechanic. Red was a member of VFW and American Legion of Medicine Lodge and served in the U.S. Army for 4 years.
On October 2, 1970, he married Vivian Blick in Medicine Lodge. She died on May 12, 2003.
Survivors include sons, Roger Moore, Houston, TX, Stanley Moore Richardson, Boston, Massachusetts; stepson, Marion Rogers, Fairview, Oklahoma; daughters; Virginia Wilkerson, Scottsdale, Arizona and Pam Wood, Houston, Texas and step-daughter, Brenda Hensen, Lyons, Kansas; several grandchildren; 2 brothers, Travis and Carroll Moore; and 2 sisters, Wanda and Mada-Kay Moore. Graveside service was held on August 14, 2004 with military honors by the U. S. Army, Fort Riley, Kansas.
Memorials have been established with Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital, Veterans Memorial Wall or donor's choice. Larrison Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge, was in charge of arrangements.
