Orland S. Marshall, 74, of Twelfth Street , died at 8:30 o'clock this morning at the Adams County Hospital . Death was attributed to complications. He was born in Tipton County May 7, 1875, a son of Benjamin and Artie Cobb Marshall, and was a retired laborer. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret, two sisters, Mrs. John Beery of Decatur and Mrs. Dora Ray of Columbia City ; two sons, Clifford of Rockfalls City, Ill., and Otto of Jackson, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and a brother, John Marshall, of Decatur.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm. Monday at the Black Funeral Home, the Rev. H. J. Welty officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery . Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. [Decatur Daily Democrat, Adams Co, IN; Saturday, November 19, 1949]
