Mrs. Ada Shore Bailey Jones, 90, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born November 27, 1917 in Forsyth County to William J. Shore Sr. and Esther Cornish Shore. Mrs. Jones was a very active member of Friedberg Moravian Church where she was a member of the Adult Bible Class and Senior Friends. She loved her family very much and was preceded in death by two loving husbands, Roy Nelson Bailey and Paul Lee Jones; her brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law, Fred Smith. Surviving are one son, Nelson Fletcher Bailey and wife, Evelyn of Thomasville; one daughter, Virginia B. Smith of Newport News, VA; a stepson, Pete Jones and wife, Burlee of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren; six great-granddaughters; her faithful companion, Princess and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were conducted Friday, November 7, at Friedberg Moravian Church with the Rev. G. Thomas Shelton and the Rev. James C. Newsome officiating. Burial followed in the church graveyard. Memorials may be made to Friedberg Moravian Church, 2178 Friedberg Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
