Mrs. Cathy Ailene Hawkins, age 51 of Hawkins Grove Road, McGrady, died, Monday, September 25, 2006. Mrs. Hawkins was born January 14, 1955 in Wilkes County to Ralph and Ruby Gryder Foster. She was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Deborah Marlowe, and a brother, Jimmy Dean Foster.
Surviving are one son, Chad Hawkins and wife Glenda of McGrady; one daughter, Tina Roten and husband Ellis (Red) of McGrady; six stepsons, Terry Hawkins and wife, Angela, Randy Hawkins and wife Tammy, Robert Hawkins, Jr., Tracy Anderson and wife Darlene, Doug Anderson and wife Janie, Bobby Blackburn: four stepdaughters, Sandie Patrick and husband Ralph, Gloria Church, Amber Davis, Santana Jarvis; five brothers, Ralph (Steve) Foster, Timothy Foster and wife Elaine, Terry Foster and wife Mae, Randy Foster, Jon Foster; two sisters, Nancy Soots and husband Donny, Becky Gulbranson; thirty-five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Brother Larry Adams officiating. Burial will be in the New Covenant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at Miller Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday night.
