70 of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on October 9, 2009. after a long illness. He is survived by his wife Shirley, to whom he was married for 44 years, and children Beth, John (Laura), Diane Dodd, Patricia (John) Garber and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, son-in-law and two grandchildren Tifani and Jason. He was originally from Malden, Massachusetts, moving to Arizona in 1976, where he worked as a master welder for the Loren Garvin and Terry Grantham's sprinkler companies. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1960. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009, 12:30 P.M. at National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix. Services entrusted to Shadow Mountain Mortuary.
