Bill was born on a farm near Texhoma, Okla., to F.F. Flint and Lola C. Flint on April 1, 1932. He graduated from the Texhoma schools and enlisted in the Air Force in 1951. He attained the rank of staff sergeant and was a crew chief on the B-36 bomber and an atomic veteran.
He graduated from Tarleton State and North Texas State universities. He worked at General Dynamics as an industrial engineer until 1972, when he became city manager of Granbury. He later owned and operated a machine shop in Granbury until he retired in 1988.
He was active in the Granbury Methodist Church and was past master, past district deputy and a 50-year member of Granbury Masonic Lodge. He was a life certificate holder and a member of both the Royal Arch and Commandery. He was twice past patron of the Granbury Order of Eastern Star and past president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. He was awarded the first Granbury Outstanding Citizen Award and the Outstanding State Director Award for the state of Texas in the Junior Chamber of Commerce. He was an active amateur radio operator for over 40 years.
He was a member of Northwest Bible Church for 20 years, current member of Grace Community Bible Church in Fort Worth and was a diligent worker with Gideons International.
Survivors: Wife of 29 years, Lois Flint; children, Cathy and husband, Dan Wilterding, of Granbury, Cindy and husband, Roger, Jordan of Granbury, Denise and husband, Duane Addison, of Hico, Karen Kae of Fort Worth and Susan and husband, Jim Squyres, of Weatherford; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
