DIED--PIERCE--At her home in the town of Plainfield, Wis., Jan. 26, 1891, Mrs. Hannah PIERCE, aged 53 years. Mrs. PIERCE was born in Athens, Maine, Nov. 17, 1837. She was the daughter of Gilman and Mary QUIMBY, who were among the pioneers of the county. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist church for several years, and was ready to do what was required of her in church work. She was always found by the bedside of the sick, glad and willing to administer to them. She had La Grippe over a year ago, which terminated in dropsy, of which she died. There are left to mourn her loss, her husband, A. M. PIERCE, and two daughters, Mrs. Seneca K. BENTLEY, of Plainfield, and Mrs. Samuel M. THOMPSON, of Dexterville, and many relatives and friends. The regard in which she was held was shown by the large concourse of people which gathered to take the last farewell look at the deceased. The discourse was delivered by Rev. R. D. Sparks, and her remains were laid to rest in the Plainfield Cemetery. A place in the home is vacant, A heart is sad and alone: Many thoughts of her there'll be, And the days that are past and gone.
