The Springdale News from The Bentonville Sun - April 28, 1911

We regret to announce that death called at the home of J.F. Meyers(sic) Sunday afternoon and took away his aged wife, Mrs. Samantha Meyers, after a married life together of 59 years. Mrs. Meyers had been in bad health for several years and a trip to Florida this winter did not improve her and after coming home she rallied a little while only to pass out of life at last. Mr. and Mrs. Meyers came here several years ago from Northwest Missouri. Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church at 10:30 Tuesday morning, Dr. J.P. Pinkerton, pastor of the church, officiating. After which the remains were laid away in the city cemetery. [Thank you Jennifer Horner for the obit]
