PARKS, Ernest T. - Ernest T. Parks, for many years a resident of Bentonville, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Goldie P. Jones, at Fayetteville Saturday, July 26th, at the age of 62 years. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Christian church at 3:00 o'clock, the Rev. John Asbell, pastor of the Fayetteville church and the Rev. Geo. Kellems, pastor of the local church officiating. Burial was made in the City Cemetery. Mr. Parks was born in Ohio in 1868. He was a member of the Christian church and an elder in the Bentonville church for many years. About two years ago he became afflicted and had been s sufferer ever since. Besides his daughter, Mrs. Jones, another daughter, Mrs. Alex St. Arneaud of Phoenix, Arizona survives; also his grandchildren, Charles, Sydney and Bobbie Jones, a brother, O.D. Parks of Wichita, Kans. and two sisters living in Kansas and Missouri survive. His wife, Mrs. Bitha Parks, died several years ago.
