Note: Birth location is Springfield Township which was Columbiana County in years before 1846.

There has been much discussion concerning the name Flohr and its iterations on census and other records. Daniel by his own hand on his last will and testament signed as Floore, whereas his father Daniel Sr as well as previous generations used Flohr. Sons and daughters of Daniel and Sophia more frequently used the Floor spelling. Sophia's death record was recorded as Florr.

Sophia was the daughter of John May and Catherine Miller.

She married Daniel on 25 May 1834 in Springfield Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, their name was recorded as Florr

They appear in the 1850 and 1860 census of Springfield, Mahoning County, Ohio. He was a farmer. And she was a mother with at least 16 children!

Sophia is listed as widowed in the 1870 census of Springfield. Daniel died 23 Feb 1867 in Springfield Twp and was buried 2 days later in St Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, aka Schray Cemetery.

Their daughter Sarah married in 1868 to William Crum and apparently later married to Philip Smith.
