Lloyd H. Bovee

Lloyd H. Bovee, 86, formerly of Bancroft, died June 30 (1981) in Bay Community Health Center, Stevens Point.

Bovee was born Oct. 19, 1894, in the Town of Pine Grove, Portage County, the son of John and Mary Bovee. He married Bernice Ruth Reid, Mar. 15, 1922.

He was a former insurance agent, a World WWI veteran and a member of the Bancroft American Legion.

Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Nellie Cisewski, Mosinee; one son, Paul, Plainfield; one brother, Harold Bovee, Wautoma; one sister, Bessie Doolittle, Davenport, Ia; 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2p.m. Friday (July 3, 1981) in New Life Assembly of God Church, Plainfield, with the Revs. Phillips Halverson, Paul Bickett, and Frank Kohl officiating. Burial was in Plainfield Cemetery. Graveside military services were conducted.

Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton Funeral Home, Hancock.
