Mrs. Harry West dies on Tuesday [9 Oct 1962]
Mrs Ima Jo West, 56, wife of Harry C. West, Turnbull Bay Road, died Tuesday night in Fish Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for five weeks. She was a native of Jasper, Texas.
Mrs. West, who moved here from St. Louis, MO., 14 years ago, was a memnber of First Christian Church and Elks Ladies Club. She was vice president of West Plumbing and Heating.
Survivors, other than her husband, include a daughter Mrs. Charles W. White of Decatur GA., a brother, Douglas Seale of Houston, Texas, four sisters, Mrs. S. R. Herrington of Beaumont, Texas, Mrs Esma O'Dell and Mrs. J. W. McIntyre of St. Louis, and Mrs. E. A. Venghaus of San Antonio, Texas; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held in First Christian Church tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock with the Rev. Joseph Daab, pastor, officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be John Mertz, Harry Newbert, Charles A. White, Robert Myers, Hugh Oliver and H. W. Draper.
The body will lie in state at the church tomorrow morning from 10 to 11 o'clock. Friends may call at Dudley Funeral Home today and tonight.
Burial will be in Edgewater Cemetery.
