Delbert Best, Turkey City, Dies Saturday
Delbert M. Best, 71, a resident of this community, died at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Butler Memorial Hospital. He was a retired Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad engineer. Born September 8, 1891, at Blairs Corners, he was a son of Eli and Mary Thomas Best.
He was married October 18, 1936, to the former Eva G. Hale, who survives. He was a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ at Monroe.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by two brothers, Lester Best of Rimersburg and Walter Best of Greenville, and four sisters, Mrs. Gale Taylor of Butler, Mrs. Hazel Berlin of Turkey City, Mrs. Mary Rowe of Callery and Mrs. Lillian Shoup of Salamanca, N.Y.
Friends are being received in the McKinney Funeral Home in St. Petersburg. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. William Boyer, pastor of St. Mark Church, officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery at Wentlings Corners.
