Julia Ann Anderson was born to Samuel Anderson and Permelia Norman. Her 1st marriage in 1853 was to William M. Rice, with whom she had 2 sons, George Wesley and Owen C. Rice. She was a widow at age 20. Only Owen lived to adulthood. William died Jan 5, 1856 in Monroe Co., MO. Aug 16, 1857. She married James Wood Scobee with whom she had 4 children, 2 of whom lived to adulthood. Julia Ann died Feb 1, 1865 at age 28 and is buried in the Anderson Farm Cemetery in Monroe Co., MO. with her parents, first husband and son, George.
