George Washington was born in Virginia on February 11, 1731, according to the then-used Julian calendar. In 1752, however, Britain and all its colonies adopted the Gregorian calendar which moved Washington's birthday a year and 11 days to February 22, 1732. John's birth year would be 1731/1732.

Their most famous child was their only son Russel Farnham, a member of John J Astor's Astoria. Russel later served as a fur trader along the Mississippi and died in 1832, leaving two known children. His son Charles inherited his large estate. When Charles Farnham died at age 19 in 1849, his three Aunts, sisters of Russel Farnham, along with his grandmother Bosseron and her children received part of their nephew's estate. Sarissa, born 11/23/1781,the oldest sister, married Justin Farnham in 1804, she was living with Justin in 1850. Sarissa received 1/9th of her nephew's estate in 1853 at St Louis. Lovisa Farnham Wells died before 1853 and her children received her part of the estate. The third sister Pamelia Farnham Andrews received her part of the estate in 1853 and lived in New York in 1860.
