Interment will follow in Holy Mary, Mother of God Cemetery in Lafayette.
Reverend Howard Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the
Funeral Mass and will conduct the Funeral Services. Musical Selections will be "In The Garden", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Be Not Afraid".
Survivors include his stepson, Frank J. Brown and his wife, Laura of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Kelly Pendola, Brenda Maturin and Sam Brown; six great grandchildren; four sisters, Ann Breaux, Therese Higginbotham, Irene Mouton and Lucille Venable and one brother, George Broussard, Sr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Broussard; his parents, Elie and Jeanne Ledet Broussard; three brothers, Otis Broussard, Isaac Broussard and Leonard Broussard; and one step son, Chippy Brown.
Mr. Broussard was a native of Erath and a lifelong resident of Lafayette. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Mr. Broussard was a loving husband, stepfather, grandfather and brother, who will be sadly missed.
A Rosary will be prayed Friday at 7:00 PM in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Jules Broussard, Johnny Broussard, Kenny Higginbotham, Tony Venable, Gene Breaux and Sam Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Breaux, Charles Langlinais, Donald Higginbotham, Mike Broussard, Scott Broussard, George Broussard Jr., Dutch Broussard and Ken
Broussard.
