Janet Fetting, 94, Ada, died Tuesday, April 30, 1996, in Bridges Wimmer Nursing Home, Ada, where she had lived since 1993.
Janet M. Fetting was born Oct. 20, 1901, the daugher of Robert and Sophia (Kreier) Fetting, in Mary Township, Norman County, Minn. She attended school in Borup, Minn., and Ada and Interstate Business College, in Fargo. She was employed with Standard Oil Co. in Fargo as a bookkeeper. She married Raymond Fetting May 10, 1926, in Winnipeg. In the late 1920s, she operated beauty shops in Halstad and Twin Valley, Minn., before opening Fettings Beauty Shop in Ada. She also was a caretaker at the Kroshus Mariann apartment house in Ada. She retired in 1970. Raymond Fetting died in 1961.
She is survived by three grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Myrna Strand; brothers, Melvin, Arthur, Robert and Edward; and sisters, Tillie, Esther, Hulda, Martha, Alice and an infant.
Services:11 a.m. Tuesday in Grace Lutheran Church, Ada.
Visitation:5 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in Fredrikson Funeral Home, Ada, and one hour before the services in the church.
Burial:Ada Municipal Cemetery.
