In loving memory of my Dad....
by Rog Guggenheimer

Harold Guggenheimer, 85, of Leisure World, Laguna Hills, California passed away on August 22, 2002. He was born to Emil and Minnie "nee Hirsch" Guggenheimer on June 19, 1917 in Chicago, Il.

He served our country in the U.S. Army WWII.
Dad married my mother, Catherine "nee Koff" Guggenheimer, June 14, 1939, in Chicago. They moved to Burbank, California in the early 50's. Together they raised their 3 sons until their divorce in 1987 after 48 years of marriage.

About 1987 he married Betty. Their lives together were a joyous time filled with happiness and love. They resided in Leisure World, Laguna Hills, CA. They remained happily married until Dad passed away. Betty passed peacefully in her sleep August 1, 2009.

Dad enjoyed world traveling. He spent time in Spain, Hawaii, and throughout the United States. He was a leather manufacturer's representative. Dad was a middleman, representing leather Tanneries in the Eastern United States, and retail companies that bought bulk leather goods on the west coast such as Mattel, and others.

When dad retired around 1982 he enjoyed cooking, swimming, playing volleyball and always loved walking.

He is preceded by his parents Emil and Minnie Guggenheimer.

Dad is succeeded by his loving wife; Betty, children; Paul, Vancouver, WA; Don, Marietta, GA and Roger, Mt. Shasta, CA., Grandchildren; Paul J, Wendy, Darin, Ethan, Shannon, Sara Lynn and Alana; along with many nieces and nephews.
