Bernard, age 92, passed away and found peace. A WWII Coast Guard veteran, he was skipper of defensive and search and rescue vessels during his enlistment. An avid naturalist and gifted landscape watercolorist, Ben maintained a sharp eye, warm wit and wide ranging creative expression throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, a son, two daughters, son-in-law, four grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded by his parents, brothers, Leo and John & Alice Wichman.
