Cheryl Jean Dean, 46, of Elkton, died Monday, March 9, 2009, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
She was born May 9, 1962, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of Wayne and Brenda Eppard Dean of Elkton.
She was a lifetime resident of the area and graduated from Elkton High School in 1981. She was a member of Hensley's United Methodist Church near Elkton. She enjoyed yard sales, gardening and anything outdoors.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Jeffrey Dean of Elkton; maternal grandmother, Lillie Eppard of Elkton; a nephew; two great-nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service was held Thursday at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton with the Rev. Nona F. Allen officiating. Burial followed in the Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton.
