Ronnie Charles Lynn, 76, of Waycross died Friday afternoon (October 20, 2023) at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Lynn was born in Waycross to the late Cecil Charlie Lynn and Aline Griffin Lynn and made Waycross his home for most of his life. He worked as a contractor for many years before joining the Ware County Board of Education in the maintenance department for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, the mountains and made friends everywhere he visited. He coached basketball in his younger days and was a volunteer fireman with the Calvary Department. Mr. Lynn was a longtime member and Deacon at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and loved his Lord and his grandchildren dearly.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Evelyn Carlson Lynn; a step sister, Patsy Edwards and step brother, Willie Altman.

Mr. Lynn is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lois Lynn of Waycross; a son, Ronnie Lynn of Waycross; two daughters, Pamela Lynn Fowler husband Mark of Waycross, Tammy Lynn Flowers husband Damon of Hortense; seven grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Davis, Gregory Allen Davis, Charlie Lawrence Flowers, Cameron Lynn, Mersadees Flowers Spires husband Chris, Caleb Lynn, Dylan Lynn; ten great-grandchildren, Blaydon Wilson, Bayla Faith Flowers Owen Lawrence Flowers, Hunter Damon Hayes, Brantley Spires, Easton Spires, Oakley Zach Hayes, Chelsea Beverly, Addalynn Davis, Braxton Smith; three siblings, Jimmy Lynn wife Darlene of Waycross, Mary Lynn (Ira) of Waycross, Carol Sue Lynn (Ed) of Waycross; six step-siblings, Ronald Altman wife Patsy, Barbara Faircloth husband Bill, Catherine Justice, Vickie Floyd husband Ricky, Gail Stone husband Bobby, Larry Altman wife Deborah; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Monday (October 23, 2023) at 11:00am in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends beginning at 10:00am at the funeral home.
