Wilma Ruth Basden, 94, passed away Tuesday at a nursing home in Houston, TX.
She had lived in Huntsville for many years, then moved to Houston in 2000 to be near her daughter.
Wilma enjoyed traveling with her husband, playing bridge, genealogy, visiting with her Sunday school group, and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Basden and one of her two daughters, Patricia Basden Adams, who was retired from the State of Alabama DPS in Huntsville. Both Wilma and her late husband were long-time members of the First Baptist Church of Huntsville.
She will be greatly missed by her family, Jim and Pam Bradley, of Houston, Charles and Nancy Beverly, and Madison and Meredith Beverly, all of Gulf Breeze, FL, Patrick Beverly, Ian Beverly and Ethan Beverly, all of Tallahassee, FL, and Barry Bradley and Amanda Bradley, both of Fort Worth, Texas.
Wilma's family really appreciates the wonderful care given to her by Gertie Marshall for the last four years.
