Sulphur Springs 1933 Centennial History: Dr H.S. Bevington is listed in the Roster of Village Soldiers who served in the Civil War. He was a Lieutenant with Co H of the 123 OVI. He was captured at the First Battle of Winchester June 1863. He mustered out Feb 1865. "Dr H.S. Bevington was vitally connected with the drug business in the village. He practiced medicine for some time."
