Frances D. Seat, a loving and kind-hearted woman, passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 88. She was born on August 15, 1934, in St. Joseph, MO, to J.B. and Inez J. (Stanton) Seat. Frances was preceded in death by her parents and her uncle, Don Seat. She is survived by her best friend and several cousins.
Frances graduated from Albany High School before earning her degree at Northwest Missouri State University. She dedicated her career to helping others. Frances began her professional journey at Whitaker Cable Corporation in the accounting department before joining the Division of Family Services. For 22 years, Frances served as a supervisor until her retirement in 1990.
Frances was a devout member of the Huffman Memorial Methodist Church and Guy Hardin Sunday School, where she found solace and spiritual support. Her faith and strong sense of community led her to become an active participant in numerous groups and associations. Frances was a proud member of the United Methodist Women, Mary Ruth Circle, Plus 55 Club, Association of Missouri State Retired Employees (serving as Secretary & Treasurer), Y-Women's of YWCA, Mental Health Association, American Business Women's Group, and Christian Business and Professional Women's Club.
Frances Seat will be deeply missed by her beloved community and all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment New Friendship Cemetery, Gentry, Missouri. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service.
