Artelia “Artie” Landers, 72, Springfield, died at 5:04 a.m. today in Cox Medical Center North after a long illness. A longtime Springfield resident, Mrs. Landers was a longtime employee of Oberman and Wood manufacturing companies. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church where she served as president of the WMU. Survivors include her husband, Orval; two daughters, Eldonna Johnston, and Verta Mae Banner; a step-daughter, Joyce Adams; three sisters, Velta Steele, Delpha Steel, and Lura Glossip; a brother, Dale Long; eight grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
