This is the War Memorial in tiny Fallston, Cleveland County, NC, where David's memorial service was held. I took this photo shortly after the dedication ceremony for the monument itself. A small committee spearheaded by fellow classmate, and David's friend, Chuck Knight, virtually roped off a portion of upper Cleveland that would encompass the Fallston area and set about finding the names of our veterans. Heroes, living and dead, from the Revolution to Iraq are forever remembered with this tribute. Yes, David's name is carved alongside so many of our classmates who served during the Viet Nam years.

I took this photograph shortly after the dedication ceremony. Please ask permission before using it for any non-profitable purposes. It may not be used for profit under any circumstances.
