Bill Bergner

GRAPEVINE - Bill Bergner, 59, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, in
Grapevine.

A memorial service was at 2 p.m. Sunday in Martin Thompson Carriage
House Chapel, 224 E. College St. in Grapevine.

An additional memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Central
Church of Christ in Amarillo.

Bill was born Dec. 5, 1941, to John and Lucile Bergner. He moved from
Amarillo to Grapevine in 1991. Bill was a graduate of Texas Tech
University. He was a real estate broker and worked as staff support
for American Airlines.

Bill fought a courageous battle against multiple myeloma. He will be
remembered for his enthusiastic and generous spirit, his love for
family and friends, and his zest for life.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Thomason-Bergner and
Jerry Charles Bergner; and his father, John C. Bergner.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Wells of Euless; two sisters, Betty
Womble of Morse and Scout Bergner of Grapevine; two daughters, Sheli
Johnson of Grapevine and Robin Dye of The Woodlands; his mother and
stepfather, Lucile and Roy Oakley of Amarillo; four grandchildren,
Jordyn and Jake Johnson of Grapevine and Dillon and Darbi Dye of The
Woodlands.

The family requests memorials be to The Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000
S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79101.
