Mrs. Carol Sue Perez, 76 , died Saturday morning at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL after an extended illness.

A native of Ware County and a daughter of the late George Washington Hendrix, Sr. and Harriet Ila Bell Hendrix ;
also preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Anne Bricker; her siblings, Sally Lucas, Willie Mae Shaw, Wonnie Lee Griffin, Clyde Hendrix, Harry Hendrix, Robert Hendrix, Lois Shephard and George W. Hendrix Jr. and her former husbands:
Jessie C. Crews and Willie Thomas "Chuby" Hewitt and Mr. Wendell (of Brunswick)

She was formerly employed as a waitress at Captain Joe's, Holiday Inn and Green Frog, a bus driver for the Ware County School System and also a member of Williams Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Perez of Waycross;
seven children,
Georgeanne LeQuire (David ) of Waycross,
Jerry Crews (Deborah) of Blackshear,
David Hendrix (Cathy) of Waycross,
Michael McMillan (Varlerie) of Brantley County,
Dennis McMillan (Cassie) of Brantley County,
Beth Hill of Jacksonville, FL,
Ella O'Berry of Weil Am Rhine, Germany;
numerous grandchildren,
great grandchildren
and great great grandchildren;

four siblings,
Betty Guy of Waycross,
Imogene Sweat of Waycross,
Pheobe Platt of Charleston,
Charles Hendrix of Waycross;
and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (July 6, 2011) at Williams Chapel Baptist Church following burial into Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Music Funeral Home.
The family will be gathering at her daughter's home, 511 Emmett Rd., Waycross, GA .
