John William Barham was born October 27, 1839 in Murray, Kentucky to Lewis Fortner Barham-born abt. 1818 in Logan, Kentucky and he died after the 1880 census and Isabella Allen born about 1818 in Calloway, Kentucky and she died abt. 1847 in Tennessee. John William Barham died in 1915 in Nevada County, Arkansas.
His parents married on Jan. 9, 1838 in Calloway, KY.
John William married Mary E. Turner on Dec. 20, 1865 in Haywood, TN. At least two children were born from this union. Mary died in Osceola, Mississippi County, Arkansas on November 29, 1869 according to the Civil War pension papers of John W. Barham.

Susan E., James Tandy, and Pemina Landreth, Marah J., Charles L., Jesse B., and Mary V. Barham.
After the death of Mary E. Turner, William married Mary Emma Plumley in Tipton, TN. May 30, 1872.
Mary was born about 1856 in AL. In 1880 Mary was living in Parker, Nevada County, AR. She was 24 years old.
John William Barham served as 1st Lt. Co. "K" 6th Tenn Cavalry. No other information is recorded on his tombstone.
