Nancy Koger , a native of Brooksville, Miss., and a resident of Mobile for the past 65 years, died Thursday at her home. She was 86.
Survivors include nine children, Shirley Nicholson and Theatta Miller, both of East St. Louis, Ill., Betty Gaines of Oakland, Calif., Minnie Walker, Melvin Koger , Ollie Koger and Dewey Koger , all of Mobile, Larry Koger of Pacifica, Calif., and Kenny Koger of Belleville, Ill.; four siblings, Hattie Hines and Robert Farmer, both of East St. Louis, Edward Farmer of Brooksville and Lucious Farmer of Mobile; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home on North Hamilton Street. Viewing will also begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Stewart Memorial CME Church, 1266 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., with visitation from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral. Burial will be in Whispering Pines Cemetery.
