Obit: Hila Summa Hulet, daughter of John and Mary Hise Summa, and wife of Walter Hulet, was born Feb 17, 1881 and passed away at her home southeast of Gentry on Wednesday evening, June 5th, following a long illness, aged 65 years 3 months and 19 days. Hila Summa and Walter Hulet were united in marriage in November, 1904 and to them were born 3 daughters, Mrs Dale Porter, Gentry, Mrs Mary Porter, St Joseph, Mrs Clyde Sanders, Grant City, all of whom survive her with the husband of the home, one grandson, Paul Porter jr, St Joseph, 2 sisters, Mrs Sadie Ball, Albany, Mrs Ann Smith, Lennox, IA, 3 brothers, J W Summa, Stanberry, Harve Summa, California, Louis Summa, Gentry. With the exception of 4 years, she and Mr Hulet lived in Oklahoma and 4 years in Kansas, her life has been spent in this community only a few miles from her birthplace.

At an early age she took up the Christian way of life by becoming a member of the old Brick Church, later transferring her membership to the Gentry Christian church where she remained faithful to the end. Mrs Hulet had for many years been in frail health, always bearing her suffering with patience, a ready smile and cheery greeting for everyone, devotd to her home, husband and children, happy in the love and care they lavished on her as they anticipated her every wish and fulfilled her every want, all through the years until during her last days they were assisted by her kind sister, Sadie, neighbors and friends in making her lot a little easier. Sadly she will be miss from her accustomed place by those who so clearly loved her.
