Estelle Strickland, a resident of Fraser, Michigan, passed away peacefully Saturday in Odyssey House Health Care Facility in Southfield Michigan. She was 91 years of age.
Estelle was born in Board Valley, Tennessee on June 30, 1916, the daughter of the late Bud Douglas Henry and Dora Ann (Randolph) Henry. Estelle worked for years in the automotive industry. Estelle was married to George T. Strickland who preceded her in death in 1988.
Estelle was a very loving and caring person who will be deeply missed by the many who she has touched in her lifetime.
Estelle is survived by her loving daughter, Georgiana (Ron) Walter; her grandchildren, Kathy, Bob, Denise and Steve and by her five great grandchildren. Her brother, Ralph Henry, also survives her.
Estelle was also preceded in death by her loving son, Howard Strickland and her siblings, Bebus, Jay, Alva, Cordell, L.D., Billy, Gene and Junior.
Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Tuesday. She will also have visitation at Thurman Funeral Home in Sparta Tennessee on Friday, May 23, 2008 till time of services at 1pm with interment in Board Valley Cemetery.
