son of Charles Seymour Duty and Victoia Eva DutyWoodrow was the son of Charles and Victorine Carey Duty. He was married to Lucille Morlan on September 18 1931. He was the father of Deloris Maye and Wilson Bruce Duty. He was a carpenter by trade. He lived in Udell and Centerville, Iowa most of his married life.

When living in Udell, Iowa he was the school custodian and a carpenter.
He died Wednesday, May 11, 1983, at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, MO following an illness of several months.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, Bill Duty, Charles Duty and Homer Duty, and two sisters, Maude Sewell and Florence Funk.
He was survived by two brothers, Frank and George Duty, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
