Effie Ethel Goltry was born April 14, 1883, the daughter of Benjamin F. Anderson and Sarah E. Starkey Anderson, in Clarke County, Iowa, and passed away on June 7, 1975 at Chariton, Iowa, at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 24 days.
There were two brothers and five other sisters in the Anderson home and all of the family but one sister, Myrta Alline of Ottumwa, preceded her in death.
On June 9, 1925, she was married to Dr. Charles Goltry, who preceded her in death on March 12, 1950.
Funeral services were conducted by Pastor Fred Schmid of Ottumwa, at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, 1975 at the Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was in Chariton Cemetery.
