Elisha Randolph was one of the earliest restoration preachers in the state of Alabama. His efforts were greatly felt in the western to northwestern part of the state. Through his efforts, and those of his descendents thousands were influenced for the cause of New Testament Christianity. His son, Jeremiah Randolph, followed the footsteps of his father and was beloved by all who knew him. The person and influence of Elisha Randolph should not be forgotten.

From the Gospel Advocate:
Elder C. Kendrick:--Dear Brother, --My father, Elder Elisha Randolph, fell asleep in the Lord on the 23d ult. He lived and died a Christian. From my first recollection of him to the day of his death, his life was exemplary. It was his soul's delight to live out the holy injunctions of the Lord. As a father, a companion, a citizen, a disciple, an elder of the church and a minister of the gospel, he lived for the Lord. He was 71 years old. No more of earth, he is at rest. In the Lord, L. D. Randolph., Mill Port, Fayette Co., Ala., Oct. 8, 1856. Gospel Advocate, 1857, page 64.

*The names of the children of Elisha Randolph have been revised after further research made by the Randolph descendents. The revised list of children include Jeremiah, John D., Anna Mariah, Lorenzo Dow, Mahalia, Simeon, Orpha Theresa Clementine & Benjamin Evans. The names now in question include Robert, Rebecca, Martin, and Priscilla. These may have been nieces or nephews. This information was provided November 1, 2003 by Horace Randolph of Fayette County, Alabama.
