CHAS. RENFROE DEAD AT HOME NORTH OF CITY
WAS PROSPEROUS FARMER AND WELL LIKED IN THIS COUNTY.
The many friends of Charles Renfroe in Longview and throughout Gregg County, regret the death of Charles Renfroe, 65 years old, which occurred this morning at his home between the hours of 5 and 6 o'clock, which resulted from gun-shot wounds according to the verdict rendered after the inquest.
Mr. Renfroe lived three miles north of Longview and was a prominent and prosperous farmer and was well-liked throughout Gregg County.
He is survived by his widow, his mother, three sisters. Mrs. Pruitt of Longview and two sisters who live in Fort Worth, and a brother, Wesley Renfroe of Longview.
Funeral services will be held from his home Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

W. M. GRAY CHARGED WITH SLAYING RENFROE.
AGED MAN PLACED UNDER ARREST THIS MORNING BY SHERIFF AND RANGER.
LIVED IN SAME HOUSE WITH RENFROE, THREE MILES NORTH OF THIS CITY
W. M. Gray, Alias Charles Smith, 72 years old, was arrested this morning and charged with murder in connection with the death of Charles Renfroe, prosperous farmer of this county, who was found shot in the head yesterday, at his home three miles north of Longview.
Sheriff Martin Hays and Ranger Henry Glasscock made the arrest.
Smith lived in the same house with Renfroe.
