Mother held, throughout her life, a love and appreciation for the Louisiana Methodist Children's Home in Ruston. Her parents died when she was only two and she had fond memories of her formative years growing up at the home. Under their auspices she took her nursing training at Highland Hospital and did her lab work at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. In 1948 the Alumni Association began and brought together "Sisters and Brothers" that she corresponded with throughout her life.
She was a member of the of the Maida Mickle Class at the First Methodist Church of Shreveport.
She was a descendant of a pioneer family from Union Parish and was preceded in death by her mother and father, Susie Moore and Charles Allen Ford; brother Charlie Ford, sister, Lillian Hodges and one son Charles Griffin.
Survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Malcolm Campbell, daughter, Donna Natali; granddaughter, Kimberly McGregor and husband Glen; grandson Jay Arnold and wife Tonya; two great granddaughters Andis McGregor and Taylor Arnold; great-grandson, Ian McGregor, all of Shreveport, LA and nephew, Dr. Howard Hodges and wife Mary Frances of Arkansas.
