Nov. 25, 1856); married Miss Nancy Kesterson (1844-1917) on Sept. 11, 1860 in Dubois Co., IN; child w/ Nancy: Emily V. (b. Aug. 31, 1861); enlisted in Co. I, 38th Indiana Infantry on Sept. 18, 1861; wounded at the Battle of Stones River, TN on Dec. 31, 1862; died of wounds at Nashville Gen'l. Hosp. No. 2 on Feb. 23, 1863.
