Mr. Skinner was married April 2, 1857, to Malvenia Allen, the daughter of Noah and Mary A. (Esstile [sic]) Allen and was born September 28, 1838, in Muskingum county. Her parents removed from Muskingum to this county, in 1842, and settled in Hopewell township, where they reared a family of twelve children.
She was not included with the family on the 1850 census but I believe this to have been an omission by the enumerator when he continued the family from one page to the next.
